Motor Neurone Disease (MND) can affect a person’s ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The disease is fatal and currently has no treatment. The average lifespan from diagnosis of MND is 27 months. People living with MND require a significant amount of care and support. Extensive research is being undertaken globally and throughout Australia to understand the disease and find treatments and ultimately a cure.
