For the first time in the 10-year history of the JulEYE campaign, The Eye Surgeons’ Foundation will be hosting the EYECon Night Walk on the 29th of July.
This JulEYE, we’re asking you to celebrate your vision, and help us raise vital funds to help end blindness. To truly appreciate the vision you have, the Eye Surgeons’ Foundation will be hosting our spectacular EYECon Night Walk at the culmination of JulEYE.
The EYEcon walk is a fun community event where participants will walk a 5km course while taking in the city’s most famous EYEcons- Anzac Bridge, Sydney Harbour, Circular Quay and the Overseas Passenger Terminal- from different vantage points. The event kicks off from 5pm at Nawi Cove, Barangaroo. You can grab a bite to eat from our food trucks and get your face painted with neon and glow in the dark face paint! When you check in at the event you will also get free glow sticks to light up the course as you walk.
The walk will be lead by JulEYE ambassador and INXS band member Kirk Pengilly, who was in his 20s and touring with INXS when he almost lost his sight to severe glaucoma.
So get your family and friends together and get ready to see your city with new eyes- register today for $35 at www.juleye.com.au.
