Join us in raising funds for a cause! Champagne on arrival Live music High tea and much more In 2015 our mentor and Director, Tabitha underwent a a pacemaker operation after fainting in a resturant due to a heart condition. Supporting local charities is very high on Tabithas agenda and she has done so every year since. Last year Tabitha raised a total of $4,000 for the Heart Foundation and this year plans to raise more funds for the Joshua Caruso Foundation.

In August 2013, Joshua Caruso died suddenly of an undiagnosed heart condition. He was on his way to school when his heart stopped and he died instantly. Josh was living with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). HCM is the most common cause of heart-related sudden death in young people, yet little is known about the condition. Very few people are even aware of it, making detection and prevention very difficult. Josh and his family were completely unaware of the condition, until it was too late. Established by Joe and Belinda Caruso in Josh’s memory, the Joshua Caruso Foundation aims to raise money and awareness to combat HCM. Joe and Belinda hope that through the Foundation’s work they can prevent other parents from suffering the same tragedy that they did. We are delighted to share the story of the Joshua Caruso Foundation and to join with our community of clients, friends and businesses to support their fundraising goal to supply 100 Defibrillators to local Newcastle and Hunter based schools, sporting and community groups and for the benefits to help Novocastrians. They have supplied 41 so far!
