The Angel Gala Ball - Has Ended

The Angel Gala Ball to be held on Friday 2 June 2017 from 6.30pm at the Hyatt Hotel, Canberra promises to be another spectacular evening of fine dining and entertainment.

Guests will be mesmerised by the beautiful uplifting yet powerful vocals of Hayley Jensen, be dazzled by Australia’s Queen of Cabaret Rhonda Burchmore who will include songs from her spectacular new show Abba-solutely Fabulous and dance the night away to Tuchasoul. Australia’s best-known and leading comic entertainer, Vince Sorrenti will MC the night and provide a comic relief to the confronting Domestic Violence statistics in Australia.

Now in its second year, The Angel Gala Ball is a night where we honour the memory of Tara, celebrate the strength of survivors of family and domestic violence and raise much needed funds for the Tara’s Angels service. In February 2015 Tara Costigan was killed by her former partner with an axe as she held her eight day old baby girl. On average two women are killed in Australia each week as a result of family violence. While Tara is just one of those women, the circumstances of her death have led to her becoming a symbol of both grief and hope with the establishment of ‘Tara’s Angels’.
