Join us for a special screening of this award-winning documentary that gives insights into the charity work of Mahboba's Promise in Afghanistan.

Abdul, one of Mahboba's orphanage residents, is in love with Fatemah, the 'girl next door', but her father has decided to marry her off to anyone who can offer a large dowry. Abdul is hoping that when Mahboba arrives on her yearly visit to Kabul, she will help him again.

However, Fatemah's father demands that Mahboba pays him $10,000 or finds a wife for his eldest son to replace Fatemah's role in the household.
