Wanneroo Christmas Day Lunch

WHAT: A free Christmas Day Lunch for all those in need of company on this special day.    We will have a hot roast lunch*, a Christmas Message from a local pastor, sing Christmas Carols and celebrate together.  The day will start at 12.00pm.

GUESTS:  This event is open to anyone who is on their own and would like some company on Christmas Day and/or anyone who can't afford to put a meal on the table for themselves or their family.  Please let us know if you need any special assistance on the day.  

Each person attending including children must be registered as a guest.  

VOLUNTEERS:    Volunteers are needed to make this a really special day for our guests and can register to help in a number of ways.  

Below are the times when you can volunteer and you will need to register for each one if you want to do more than one.  Even if you are able to give a few hours on Dec 23 or 24 or are able to come for the clean up at 2pm on Christmas Day.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  

1. Friday Dec 23 - Setting up lights,staging,decorations.  If you have a vehicle to help transport equipment to the show grounds please let us know in the comments section as you make your booking.  9am start

2. Saturday Dec 24 - Set up of tables/ chairs/ decorations and everything needed for the lunch.  9 am start

4. Sunday  Christmas Day Dec 25 - Helping with serving food, cleaning and pack up, table hosts, welcomers, musicians etc.  If you are volunteering for this day please note that we need all volunteers to remain until everything is packed up as this is a major part of the role on this day.  You will be needed from 11.30 - 5 pm, kitchen helpers will need to be there earlier around 9 am

We would like volunteers to have a working with children's card if possible (please contact us or your church if you don't have one) and to attend a training day on December 10 from 10 - 11am, at the show grounds.  Our volunteer co-ordinator will assign the duties for all volunteers however if you have event experience or other skills that could be helpful (i.e. admin, marketing, decorating, you have a ute/ truck or could help with moving equipment, sound/music) please note then in your application.  

If you have been asked by your church or pastor to be a table host, please mention that in the comments section.

In the booking process you will be asked if you would like to make a donation to the running of the lunch as we run this event only through donations and sponsorship.
