This is event is a one- off special event organised to raise funds to be divided equally between Royal Institute of Deaf & Blind and Retina Australia(NSW) to further their education, therapy and cochlear implant services to children and adults with vision and hearing loss. Both are registered charities.
RIDBC provides quality and innovative education and support services for children with vision and hearing loss from birth to age 19 including Pre-Schools, Early Learning Centres, a regional or remote service where families and children are receiving services via videoconference Individual therapy sessions; research and work with Cochlear programme.
Retina Australia raises funds specifically to support research and clinical trials into inherited retinal disease.
Reknowned Hunter Valley winemaker, LISA MCGUIGAN, will be taking us on a sensual journey of taste as we learn about why certain foods go with certain wines. Your senses will be put to the test as as you work your way through a delicious 3 course dinner with matched wines - tasted 'blind'. There will be prizes for the most astute palettes. There will also be a raffle in support of these two worthwhile charities - with some great prizes. This event is ideal for a group of friends or workmates sharing some 'bonding' time - instead of going to the pub - come and support a worthy cause and have some sensory fun!!
